Driven communicator with experience in photography and film production wanted

The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with over 40,000 employees. The Communications Department is one of the national departments with operations throughout the country. The department is responsible for coordinating the Police Authority's communication efforts and providing strategic and operational communication support to the entire authority around the clock. The department has about 200 employees distributed across a dozen units, some of which have a national and others a more regional responsibility.

We are now looking for a driven communicator for the communications unit in the Stockholm police region. You will belong to a group of six people who work with digital channels such as social media, the police website, intranet, photography/film, and layout.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a communicator, you will work with communication issues in a fast-paced and event-driven environment. You will work both operationally and strategically as a communicator with a particular focus on photography and film production. You will provide communication support for communication teams, managers, and other key functions.

A selection of your tasks:

• Work as a communicator.
• Work with photography and film production.
• Produce and publish content for various channels such as web, social media, and intranet.
• Participate in teamwork related to various communication issues.
• Initiate, plan, execute, and follow up on communication efforts.
• Provide support to colleagues in communication issues within your area of responsibility.
• Develop internal and external communication based on set goals.
• Collaborate within the authority on communication issues.
• Participate in local crisis communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• Relevant education for the job content or other education that the employer deems relevant.
• Relevant experience as a communicator in recent times.
• Current experience of advanced work in photography and film production.
• Current experience of advanced work in content production for social media.
• Experience with various digital channel publishing systems, such as EpiServer/Optimizely/Sitevision or similar.
• Very good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in producing and publishing target group-adapted communication material for various channels such as web and intranet.
• Experience in training others in your area of expertise.
• Experience in communication work in a complex environment that the employer deems relevant.

Personal qualities

To be successful and thrive in the role of communicator, you have an easy time collaborating and managing multiple parallel stakeholders. We see that you have a good ability to switch between planned and event-driven work. You also have a good ability to handle a sometimes high work pace in a good way. You see the big picture and can easily adapt messages and explain complex issues in different channels to different target groups. To succeed in the job, you need to be a social person who can work both in a group and independently, and you are good at building good relationships.
